Situation > Ebeltoft Group was hired by a multi-format and multichannel Brazilian mass retailer to consolidate global best practices, benchmarks and main drivers of growth, innovation, differentiation and profitability in the food retail business. And secondly, to identify opportunities for format and channel innovation and the supplier relationship.
Approach > Project structure and approach:
a. Identification and selection of the main drivers of change and global megatrends to be explored.
b. Design of the framework, selection of local Ebeltoft Group members to participate and division of the themes among the Ebeltoft Group.
c. Local field research, interviews and best precise case selection and analysis (from more than 3 continents)
d. Consolidation of local findings into one master framework
e. Presentation to the client in a 2-days workshop, involving all the senior level management of the company. Integrated exercise, ranking the insights generated in the process in order to focus the most interesting options to be developed
