GS&MD/ Ebeltoft Brazil held the 15th edition of the Latin American Retail Forum, which took place on August 16 and 17, at FECOMÉRCIO in São Paulo.
The forum gathered leading retail names aiming to discuss trends for emergent consumer markets, people like Éneas Pestana (Chief Executive Officer of Pão de Açúcar), Luiza Helena (Chair Person of Magazine Luiza), Carlos Massa (President of Grupo Massa), Guilherme Paulus (Founding Partner of CVC) and others.
During the Forum, the study "Moving Social Classes: The "More For Less" Consumer Redefines Retail Businesses" was presented, which approached consumers that migrated from class D to C, and from class C to B2. "The consumer is the one who emerges, but it involves the price as an important attribute when deciding to purchase something", explains Luiz Goes, Senior Partner of GS&MD/ Ebeltoft Brazil
In addition Jorge J. Quiroga from TodoRetail Consulting/ Ebeltoft Mexico presented on the new challenges of the retail scenario in Mexico and compared the economic and retail sector developments in Brazil and Mexico.
